The day is here!!!

The day is finally here... the day that we are able to say that a dream for so many is coming to life! We signed the lease tonight... and a.l.o.e is headed your way!!!! Watch out Lewisville!!! (and dare we say Winston-Salem, Clemmons, Pfafftown and beyond!!)

There is lots to do in a short period of time as we want to get the doors wide open to share this vision with you ALL!

It is for sure a work in progress and as the months go on we will add more and more.... so if you have an idea of something you might like to see or learn.. let us know... or if you are crafty.. and might have something you think is worth having a space for.. let us know!!!

AND...  this could not be possible without all of the support of our family, friends and you! So THANK YOU!!!!

Watch out world.. here we come!!!

What we COULD look like...

Hi.. Its Tammy :)

Here is what the shop is going to look like in the main areas. This is our inspiration board that we are working from.
LOVE how grey, yellow and grey work together... and lets not forget the pop of peacock!!!

so where did we find all of this? PINTREST of course!!!

And here is an idea for a logo.. what do you think? I truly think it speaks to the fun, whimsical feel we are looking for.

We all met the other night... and started going through when to turn on power, inspections, insurance but then the most fun thing of the night... GRAND OPENING PARTY!!! Stayed tuned!!

Here we go!!

Written by Elaine:

When I first decided to get serious about opening a store, I tried to really evaluate the need for something like this, and while there are a few similar “thrift” spaces downtown, there is nothing similar in the suburbs of Winston-Salem. I looked at a few smaller spaces that would just hold my own venue, but began to think about a bigger idea. The idea of having a community space that was beautiful and provided more than just my store. I wanted a place where I could go right around the corner and be able to relax with friends, host social events, and be around like-minded, inspiring moms…and then came a.l.o.e. after finding a space that could house several different businesses; I had to think of what made sense to do together in the space. I didn’t want a similar shop competing with me, I didn’t want something that wasn’t going to be family friendly, because let’s face it, I have 3 kids and chances are they are going to have to spend some time at work with me, and that is how I want it. My children are number 1 and if this isn’t going to work with them, it’s not going to work. Calling all mommies who want to try to do something creative, raise their kids, and MAYBE try to make some MONEY!
We have been coined mompreneurs  and that’s just about right because mom comes first, but how are we going to grow our business? You see, if we combine our space every person that comes to see a about a great pedicure just might find an extra minute to come into my store. If Jenn does a photo shoot, someone might remember the birthday present they need for tomorrow’s party. So in a moment of selfish brilliance I have forced people who might have otherwise not come in, to be stuck looking at what fantastically irresistible things that I am selling!

We would like to provide the people of Lewisville and the surrounding areas a local alternative when looking for a unique gift, piece of furniture, or other home good. Being a part of a.l.o.e.  we are looking to create an atmosphere that fulfills different needs of our local residents.
We are not only a local little shop, but also are able to provide photography, nail services, art classes, and  parties.
We want  a.l.o.e . to be where you think of going on a Thursday night for ladies night out with Tammy to learn how to create mixed media art, while drinking a glass of wine. A place to host book club ,or bunco where we help provide a beautiful soul nurturing environment. We want a.l.o.e. to be a part of the community and get used to create and do positive and beautiful things. Sometimes that can be as simple as a night in, where you and your friends can bring a dish and not worry about if the bathroom is clean or if your kids are being too loud upstairs.
